For All The Right Reasons
This is the end of an era of domestication, and the beginning of the age of the wild. It’s the end of captivity and the beginning of freedom. A freedom that turns a screamer to a singer, a dreamer to a poet and preacher to a prophet.
It’s the end of death by the beginning of life.
I don’t want to understand, nor your understanding. I’m tired of you and your attempts to change me. I don’t want your good advice, and I don’t need you to tell me to be patient, how to act or react, or how to reach for that high horse you believe is yours and yours alone.
I’m tired of your fake calmness and your colonizing morality. I’m done with your attempts to invade me. I’m fed up with your expansion and exploitation of my given resources. Of you, draining my elements to fuel your flame.
And I’ve had it with hiding. I’m breaking free.
I’m leaving your circus. I'm stepping away from your norm. I’m heading back to my ultimate starting point. To the core of my being, baptized and clean.
I’m breaking free because everything I once was told was wrong. I’m breaking free because all the things I’ve carried have been put down and I dared to change. I dared to leave, and I dare to never return. I am reborn. Because once I died and rose again.
No one can take that away from me.
It's the end of an era and the beginning of a lifetime. I don’t need your keys to success nor your constant happiness. My life is both complete and imperfect. It’s full of hope and despair, wisdom and foolishness, light and darkness.
